A man was found fatally shot in his car on the George Washington Bridge on Tuesday night toward the end of the evening rush hour.
The man was alone in his car on the New Jersey-bound upper level of the bridge with a gunshot wound to his head, the authorities said. The Port Authority Police Department responded to the scene after receiving calls about a one-vehicle crash, the authorities said.
A bullet hole could be seen in the rear passenger side window of the car.
The man was transported to Englewood Hospital in New Jersey where he was later pronounced dead, the authorities said.
The authorities say there is no suspect at this time. Both Port Authority and New York Police Department officers were on the bridge investigating on Tuesday night.
