Oregon starting quarterback Dante Moore will miss Saturday's game after the Big Ten media availability report released Wednesday listed him as out.
Moore (concussion) will miss his third straight game and is among seven Ducks players listed as out. Oregon will likely turn to Dylan Raiola or Brock Thomas to start at Illinois on Saturday. Raiola, a transfer from Nebraska, came off the bench last week to lead the Ducks to a 17-14 comeback win over his former team.
Oregon (4-2, 2-1) fell out of the rankings two weeks ago for the first time since 2022 after losing twice in its first five games. The Ducks blew a second-quarter lead and lost to then-No. 9 UCLA after pulling off a win at USC despite Moore going down.
Moore suffered a concussion in the Ducks' 41-27 road win over USC on Sept. 26. He attempted to slide during a scramble in the second quarter, but USC linebacker Desman Stephens II delivered a hard hit and drove the QB into the turf. Moore lay motionless while Stephens celebrated the hit. The senior was eventually carted off the field and taken to Los Angeles General Medical Center.
